Jam and Flow Yoga Playlists: Hip-Hop, Lo-Fi, and More!

Need some more hip-hop yoga playlists in your life? Don’t worry. I’ve got you.

I made a post with four hip-hop yoga playlists about a year ago and it’s been one of the most popular pages on my blog. Thanks to everyone who has been listening. Real dope.

The following playlists, I must admit, are not just hip-hop yoga playlists. I recently published an ebook with a bunch of different flows and poses for different occasions. It includes a revamped version of my Yoga for Beginners PDF and Restorative Yoga Poses for Anxiety PDF. I made a playlist for most of the sections. Whether or not you buy the ebook (which…you know…I recommend…) enjoy!

Each playlist is about 45 minutes.

Yoga Poses for Core Strength – Playlist

Featuring: Childish Gambino, BROCKHAMPTON, Beyoncé

Not going to lie, this is my go-to workout playlist right now. I like to dance in between Sun Salutations. Sue me. Do some navasana and build a strong core.

Yoga Poses for Back Flexibility – Playlist

Featuring: James Blake, Anderson .Paak, A Tribe Called Quest

This is another playlist that will make you want to dance. Backbends are fun and open up your heart. Let in Anderson .Paak and Kendrick.

Yoga for Spatial Awareness – Playlist

Featuring: Petit Biscuit, quickly, quickly, DesMarais

This is my go-to…work playlist. I love putting on a lo-fi hip hop playlist when I’m writing and need to focus. These poses are all about focus and bringing awareness to different parts of your body.

Restorative Poses for Anxiety – Playlist

Featuring: Townes Van Zandt, Fleetwood Mac, Dusty Springfield

These songs make me feel calm and warm and fuzzy. Each of these poses should be held for at least a minute, but I recommend just using the songs to tell you when to switch sides or move into a new pose.

Post-Climbing Poses – Playlist

Featuring: Dr. Dog, Leon Bridges, George Ezra

Similar to the above playlist, you can use the songs to switch sides or switch poses. Or don’t. It’s your life. If you’ve been bouldering all day and you need to stretch things out, these poses are for you. There’s something about climbing gyms that make you want to listen to an acoustic guitar and take a big deep breath, so that’s where these songs came from. This playlist also pairs well with a cup of coffee or a rainy day.

Pre-Pole Yoga – Playlist

Featuring: Lizzo, Cardi B, Whitney Houston

You thought I was down with the hip-hop and the whatnot? No.

Pole and Yoga are both ways to get sweaty and feel empowered amongst a bunch of sick women. So here’s a bunch of sick songs featuring a bunch of bad-ass women. Get yourself ready for a sick pole class with a mix of strengthening and stretching poses. Treat yourself to some booty shorts. Give some extra love to Kali. Enjoy yourself.

Yoga for Surfers – Playlist

Featuring: Skeggs, Ocean Alley, Hockey Dad

Okay, so I’m still not completely over living in Australia for a year. Sue me. If you surf, these poses are a great way to keep your arms strong and your balance on point. These tunes go well with a day at the beach or a road trip on a sunny day. Let yourself enjoy a smile.

Phew! We’re done! Now you might be wondering where you can get the flows to go with these tunes…
