The Best and Worst Things About Living in a Hostel, As Told By RuPaul’s Drag Race GIFs
This post is for a bit of a niche audience, eh?
For the past few weeks, I’ve been living and Workaway-ing in a hostel in Kuala Lumpur. Hostel life is definitely a unique experience, whether you’re working for accommodation or just staying for a few nights. Every hostel is different, and every night is different depending on the people that are staying for the night, but in general, you’ll find great things (and not so great things) at every hostel. To make things fun, I added GIFs from Drag Race. No reason. I just miss watching Drag Race every week.
All images are via RuPaul’s Drag Race, in case you were not aware. Just feel like I had to say it.
Five Strange Things I Ate and Drank in Da Lat, Vietnam (And Other Terrifying Experiences)
Looking for things to do in Da Lat? Get your stomach ready. This is going to be a wild ride.
Andrew and I didn’t know much about Da Lat when we decided to add it to our itinerary. It’s a few hours away from Saigon, and another place in Vietnam to check out. We had heard about canyoning and experiencing cold weather (for once,) but that’s about it. We were in for a surprise.
Review: VCR
I’ve been working remotely for the past year and a half, so I’m always looking for quality coffee shops that allow me to set up shop and enjoy a good drink while I work. So when I saw a KindMeal deal at VCR, I jumped on the opportunity. KindMeal offers 25% off for a Portobello Mushroom Quiche and Cappuccino.

Review: The Toast Co. in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The meat-free foodie adventure through Kuala Lumpur begins! As an ambassador for KindMeal, I’m enjoying vegetarian meals and KindMoments throughout Malaysia. My first stop was The Toast Co.
KindMeal Is a Must-Have App for Vegetarians in Malaysia
Southeast Asia is a foodie’s paradise, but I have to admit, I was a little nervous to start eating street food, or any type of food, as a vegetarian. I have been a vegetarian for close to four years now, and love my meat-free lifestyle. I have to admit that when I meet other vegetarians, or hear that a friend has cut meat out of their life, I do a little happy dance!
Vegetarian travelers, never fear. I have had no problems sticking to meat-free meals while in Southeast Asia. I’m happy to say that Kuala Lumpur (where I will be staying for the next few weeks) has been the easiest place to eat vegetarian in Southeast Asia. Why? I have the help of a fantastic app called KindMeal.
How Much To Budget For A Trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia
Let’s make a budget! Sexy! Exciting! Totally going to go as planned!
Budgeting isn’t fun, but it’s essential for beat, broke backpackers like me. Hindsight is 20/20 and about $20 more than I thought I was going to have to pay to visit Angkor Wat. I loved Siem Reap, Cambodians are super sweet, but there were a couple hidden expenses that I would like to share with anyone making a budget. So let’s begin!
Koh Phangan: The Full Moon Party (and What To Do Afterward) feat. Hangover Yoga!
Okay. Back to chronological posts that don’t talk about American politics. I won’t mention T**** ever again.
So let’s chat about the Full Moon Party, yeah?
Koh Phangan was at the top of our bucket list. Why? Three words: Full Moon Party. We didn’t know much about it, but we heard it was a big ol’ party on the beach and we weren’t going to turn that down. The overnight bus and ferry from Bangkok to Koh Phangan was an exhausting journey, so we gave ourselves four days on the island before heading back and continuing to Siem Reap. We went to the Full Moon Party. But then we had the question: what else is there to do on Koh Phangan?
